BIO
Million Moons is a London-based instrumental post rock band known for their narrative approach to post rock and grand, sweeping compositions.
Their 2022 debut album, "Gap In The Clouds", produced by George Lever (Sleep Token, Loathe), explored the concept of encroaching Alzheimer's disease and the strain and heartbreak this can cause the affected individual and their relationships with loved ones.
Lewis Johns (Employed to Serve, Svalbard, Rolo Tomassi) produced their sophomore release, “I May Be Some Time” in 2024. Inspired by Antarctic explorer Captain Lawrence Oates, the album invites listeners on a sonic journey through the trials and tribulations of a doomed polar expedition. It was ranked in the top five albums of 2024 in a Where Post Rock Dwells Audience Poll.
In 2025, Million Moons were invited to play the main stage of AnGoal Music's Offside Festival, the largest post rock festival in China joining genre giants maybeshewill, EXXASENS, Lights and Motion, and Tokyo Shoegazer. Their performance was later ranked as of the top ten moments from the festival in magazine UPEE REVIEW's roundup of Offside.
They will be returning to the studio in early 2026 once again with producer Lewis Johns to record their third album.
Million Moons' music is characterized by a large, cinematic sound that remains intensely personal and filled with human emotion.
